Do you remember the first letter I sent you 23 years ago. I got your address through PENPAL. We were still so young and so innocent at that time...
After some years, I met you for the first time in Hong Kong and you also came to Mauritius some years after.
As technology changes, we stopped writing letters and corresponded by email and sms. We could also keep in touch through Internet chat softwares or social Internet network softwares but I don't often use these platforms.
You are now married and have a small family to take care of and I have my own life too.
Yes we do not keep in touch very often now.
Yes we might have different characters, tastes and lifestyle.
Yes we might have different thoughts and attitudes concerning some issues.
But one thing for sure is that we share many common principles and values and our friendship is an everlasting one.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY my friend Louise !!!
Love from Alain

Patrick cooked us a decent meal :) and Lok Lok gave me a b-day kiss ^__^ ... and i am very contented indeed :) Patrick does not want a 2nd child cos things are costly here .... so pending now !!!
Relationship is difficult despite the distance. When two hearts are apart, even it is within walking distance, it is far *__* Finding a life partner is challenging .... the closer you are, the more conflict you will get into.
When you have kids, more and more contradiction and conflicts and promises at the end.
After becoming a mother, I learn so much from Lok Lok about myself.
he is like a mirror ...... reflecting my real real side, good and bad ....
But I love him so much that sometimes, Patrick will get jealous.
He is more important to me than my life.
While he is sleeping, i enjoying looking at him quietly and giving him a kiss on his cheek / forehead.
While he is giggling, i enjoying watching him and hearing his giggling.
Isn't God amazing to create a life in such a beautiful and amazing way ? He is always Almighty.
Recently, i got promoted to Office Manager ... but it is not an easy role in the office because it was part of my previous supervisor's role and now he was kind of demoted.
So you can imagine the political issues behind all these things ....
I am never good at handling these cos i got frustrated when ppl cannot see from a global angle .....
headache !!
I’m glad to read that you enjoyed your birthday with your family.
Also CONGRATULATIONS for being promoted as an office manager !!! Now that you reached such high position, try to ignore the political issues and simply do your very best in what you are supposed to do…
You said that finding a life partner is challenging because the closer you are, the more conflict you will get into and when you have kids, there will be more and more contradiction and conflicts and promises at the end. You also said that you love LokLok so much that sometimes your husband will get jealous because your son is more important to you than your life.
Are you saying that you are currently focusing all your time and energy on your child to the point that you are neglecting your relationship with your husband ?
If so, I understand your strong feelings for your child (being a mother particularly) and I believe you will always do your very best to make him grow in a safe, loving and caring environment. But don’t forget that he also has a father who has got an important role to play in the family.
While parents tend to focus most of their energy and time on their children (which is a normal attitude), I believe that they should also keep nurturing their love as a couple because a good relationship between husband and wife will bring harmony in the family. Is this a challenging task ?

well ... i think in high position, probably 70% of your work would be politics related .... for me, as i am promoted that means somebody else is demoted. Thats why politics come. I am trying not to get involved and at the same time, to defend myself of not being used or taken advantage of. My chinese boss is a very smart person but for management, i think he is still not experienced to handle a new office. Once a while, i need to make him aware that things should not be done that way. Our recent talk is how mine and the other french scope of work should be divided. The french guy is somebody that have not much exposure about HK company practice. He just stick to the French way to run a company. It is very hard cos when i explain, he insists his own way. He could have his own reason but the mindset is very different and is something that is very hard to change.
I am trying to improve my quality time with my husband ... not easy for me but trying :) Hopefully, when the new helper comes and everything on the right tractk, he will get a job and should be better. I am also thinking to try something else in order to spend more time with lok lok. But this is only very preliminary. Life is not easy in HK .....
Last night, i went to a wedding banquet with lok lok. he kind of enjoyed it and it was his first time. And it was also mine after 1999 ..... since then, i never went for a wedding banquet not even my very good friend's. I just dun want to have all the old memories crossing my mind .... Lok Lok somehow is also a kind of mental support for me to face a lot of difficulties in life. And I keep telling myself not too attached to him :) hehehehehe ... what a dependent mummy I am !!!!
hey, how is your new office ? Is it also new work ? How come you need to travel so much these days ??????
